Forty years ago, animation was a genre of entertainment mostly recognized for occupying the minds of the youngest generation of television watchers. However, much of that changed with the introduction of 1989’s “The Simpson.” The series, surely one of the most iconic shows ever made, has been a multi-generational fixture on television screens since it first debuted more than 30 years ago. Created by Matt Groening, “The Simpsons” has over 30 seasons under its belt and shows no signs of stopping as it continues to tap into America’s ever-evolving culture.
